About
Paul Morrison
Chiropractor · M-Chiro, DC, qualified in the United Kingdom.
Doctor of Chiropractic with 6+ years of clinical experience.
Paul spent fifteen years running a painting and decorating business in Hertfordshire, a trade that asks a lot of a body. Ladders, working above the shoulders, cramped corners, long days in positions nobody thinks about until they stop working. He pushed through it for years, until one day he could barely walk, subsequently suffering his own disc herniation.
A close friend who happened to be a chiropractor got him moving again. Being on that table, and being shown what was actually going on, changed the direction of his life: he went from wondering why his body had let him down to wanting to understand how bodies work in the first place. At thirty two he went back to university part time, for five years, and during this period also qualified as a sports massage therapist. He then, in 2018, became a Doctor of Chiropractic.
The part of the job he likes best is the moment someone notices that they have been putting up with pain and discomfort. Most people carry far more discomfort than they need to, purely because it has been there so long they stopped seeing it as unusual. Once they realise they don't have to feel this way, treatment stops being a last resort and becomes more of a helpful tool to maintain.
He now works on the Costa del Sol, seeing expats and Spanish patients alike in English and Spanish: at Costa Spine in Guadalmina, and at his own practice in Riviera del Sol. He is a UK qualified Doctor of Chiropractic (M-Chiro, DC) with more than six years in practice, and a registered member of the AEQ.
Away from the clinic he still follows football and cricket, sports he played into his thirties, and plays golf and padel on one of the many beautiful courses or courts on the coast. Around here, that is where most of the conversations start.
